Community

Lakes, traditions and neighbors who show up.

The everyday benefits of living in Country Place, and the events that bring us together all year.

Why people love it here

Neighborhood benefits

Country Place is a quiet stretch of East Texas countryside just outside Tyler. Here is what comes with living here.

Neighborhood lakes

Fish off the docks, paddle at sunrise or walk the shoreline at sunset. The Lakes & Parks Committee looks after stocking, docks and mowing.

Picnic area and parks

Shaded picnic grounds on Three Lakes Road host the Easter egg hunt, spring picnic, Fourth of July and Fall Festival.

Room to breathe

Estate-sized lots, tall trees, rolling hills and quiet country lanes, close to Tyler and Whitehouse.

Clubs and socials

A monthly ladies’ book club, a car club, ladies’ luncheons and plenty of chances to meet the neighbors.

Neighbors who pitch in

Volunteer work days keep the lakes and picnic areas clear of deadfall and brush. Students can earn community service hours.

Easy to stay connected

The private Country Place Facebook group carries day-to-day news and event sign-ups.

All year long

Community traditions

Neighbor volunteers organize these every year. Dates go up on the Events page and in the Facebook group.

Spring

Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch

Kids hunt eggs at the picnic area while neighbors share a potluck brunch. Bring a basket and a breakfast dish to share.

Spring

Spring Picnic

A noon cookout at the picnic area. Hamburgers and hot dogs are provided; bring a side or dessert to share.

Spring and fall

Lakes & Parks Work Days

Neighbors gather deadfall, clear brush and spruce up the lakes and picnic areas. Snacks and drinks provided.

July

Fourth of July Parade & Picnic

A neighborhood parade, then a picnic with fried catfish, hamburgers and hot dogs. Bring a side or dessert to share.

September

Kids’ Fishing Tournament

A morning at Lake #3 with medals for the three biggest fish caught by anglers 12 and under. Donuts and water provided. Open to all Country Place owners and their families, Phase I and Phase II.

October

Fall Festival & Hayride

Our longest-running tradition. Trailers wind through the neighborhood to treat stops at neighbors’ homes, with a picnic and a costume contest for the annual trophy.

December

Christmas Caroling Party

Neighbors gather around the fire and the piano to sing carols. A family event and a neighborhood favorite since 2023.

Monthly

CP Ladies Book Club & Luncheons

Book club meets monthly at a neighbor’s home. Ladies’ luncheons happen through the year, including a holiday potluck.

Every few months

Country Place Car Club

Laid-back meetups for anyone who drives a classic, a truck or a muscle car, or just likes to drive.

Our common areas

Lakes & Parks

From early-morning fishing off the docks to sunset walks along the shore, the Country Place lakes and common areas are one of the best parts of living here. The Lakes & Parks Committee oversees stocking, docks, mowing and water quality.
